School Days Layout

Every Thursday a new sketch challenge is posted at Thursdays Sketch @ Pages in Time. I decided to do a layout with a school theme.

I glimmer misted the star and inked all the edges. I used Design Studio to make the Apple Mat and the Number Border on the layout along with the rest of the cuts. The red cardstock is not that bright in person. The photo corners are all popped up so that pictures can slide underneath.

I cut my circle out of tan cardstock, stamped the image, and used the outline circle from George for the circle border. This is then tied to the tag.

The back of the tag has a journal stamp stamped on white cardstock along with a couple of apples and a photo corner.

Shades of Green

I just love this stamp set. The vases remind me of the old fashioned milk jugs. Growing up I would pick the wild flowers and put them into the milk jugs or quart jars. I used one of Penny Duncan's file and cut out on white card stock the square. I stamped the flowers onto white cardstock using basic gray ink. I used a water paintbrush and painted the flowers using a the ink pads to get my colors.

The bottom piece I used my Cricut and the Home Accents and George Cartridges.
I used a piece of light green mesh paper for the inside of the card.

I used Design Studio for the layout and the file can be used with the 6x12 mat. The cut file also contains two additional layouts for a shaped card using this shape from Home Accents.

Anniversary

We went on a trip to the North Shore for our 26th Anniversary. Stayed at Cove Point and watched the Lighthouse being lit for the 100 year Anniversary. Then we played tourist as we have not been up to that area.

I'm having to fill this little bird feeder 2 - 3 times a week. We actually have 4 others in the yard, but we also have some mighty hungry birds.

Christmas Cactus blooming in March.

Here is the March Template. My Christmas Cactus is in full bloom again. It normally blooms 3 to 4 times a year. Last summer I moved it outside to wash the leaves, the wind came up and blew it over. I now have three plants from my original plant. The picture is from the middle sized plant.

February....

is almost over and I have not been very good at blogging this month. I have the February template to share with you at both the 12x12 and 8x8 size. Izzy is not wanting to take a bath. She is really good though, no biting or growling, she just doesn't like to get wet.

January...

is almost gone and February is on it's way. I had a wonderful time with our family at the end of December and with my younger Sister during January. Now it's time to get back on track. I have a digital template for the months and some of the holidays. The border is done in black but can be changed to any color for your color scheme.
