Rainy Day

Back in April Sketch Support was using an umbrella on their layouts and projects. I had some of the Piggy Tales Kit left over and thought it would make a great Rainy Day layout with the umbrella as a border.


I searched my cartridges to find one that had an umbrella on it and realized that I also need to use the boy with the umbrella from A Child's Year since this layout is going to my sister for her grandson.

The tag in the corner is only glued on the side and bottom so that the photo can slide behind it. When I got ready to cut my title I changed the font from All Mixed Up to Jasmine but both are in the cut file.

Pumpkins

One of Scrapbook Heaven's October Monthly Challenge's is by Jules - Die cut paper.

I made my own die cut paper for this one using the Accent Essentials Cartridge. The top of the layout is on foam tape so that it is raised up from the background paper and photo mat. I then made a frame around the opening.

The flowers are from the 50 States cartridge, inked, rolled edges, and scrunched up. I used a large brad, clear embossed the head, and used a reddish brown embossing powder. The embossing powder is from a 12 pack from Michael's with no color names.

For each pumpkin I cut a green one and an orange one. I cut the top of the orange pumpkin, inked the edges and glued to the green pumpkin and inked again. I have glued one to the back page and two on the top page using foam tamp.

I am using parts of the wreath I took a part in this post, to weave through the flowers and pumpkins. I used my hot glue to hold this down.

One more layout for the Holiday Sketch Challenge.
Karen's challenge was to use the sketch, at least 3 different pattern or colored cardstock and at least 6 eyelets, buttons, or brads. The Citrus stack has some wonderful glittered paper in it. You can't tell from the picture but it really sparkles in real life.

I also layered "Thankful" onto a dark red with pop up dots.

Fabulous Fall

Here's another layout I did for the Girls' Christmas Box - Please not that is the 12x12. I used the Pages in Time Thrusday Sketch.

I cut "fabulous" out twice - once in brown and then in red. The red layer is pop dotted. The title "Fabulous FALL" looks better in person.
I used the Arch Lattice Punch to make the Medallion on my hidden journaling tag. The photo mat is cut at 4.25x6.25 and pop dotted on the edges to hide the journaling tag.

I inked everything on the border and pop dotted the leaves and berries. The acorns are glued to the border.

School Days Layout

Every Thursday a new sketch challenge is posted at Thursdays Sketch @ Pages in Time. I decided to do a layout with a school theme.

I glimmer misted the star and inked all the edges. I used Design Studio to make the Apple Mat and the Number Border on the layout along with the rest of the cuts. The red cardstock is not that bright in person. The photo corners are all popped up so that pictures can slide underneath.

I cut my circle out of tan cardstock, stamped the image, and used the outline circle from George for the circle border. This is then tied to the tag.

The back of the tag has a journal stamp stamped on white cardstock along with a couple of apples and a photo corner.

Spring Mini Tag Album

Here's a little mini tag album. I used toilet paper rolls to hold the tags. All of the tags were cut with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. For the most part I alternated the toilet paper rolls with card stock pages. On the cover I used a piece of acetate stamped my border then embossed it. "Tristen" was cut using Jasmine and I welded the pieces together with Design Studio.

The front of page two I left blank, but the backside has a mat cut from Accent Essential with a piece of punched paper.

Pages 3 is the first toilet paper roll with only one side decorated with a scallop frame cut from Accent Essential. Page 4 is card stock with a caterpillar cut from Walk in My Garden on one side and a mat on the other side.


Page 5 is another piece of acetate with a border stamp embossed in blue an My Boy glued to the back side. My is cut using the Jasmine Cartridge and Boy is from Graphically Speaking.
Page 6 is another toilet paper roll with a tag inside.

The next page is this cute little turtle on a photo mat. The turtle was cut from Walk in My Garden. Then another toilet paper roll with a photo mat.

The next two pages are of card stock with a couple of photo mats, the scallop frame from Accent Essential and then Tree from Walk in My Garden.

The last two pages are another piece of acetate, stamped and embossed. Boy is cut from Graphically speaking.

I used eyelets on each page as this little album will get lots of use. I used pop up dots behind the scallop frames, tree, caterpillar and turtle.

Tag Scrapbook Page

I did a couple of layouts based on this one from Christmas with the Cricut. I used a tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and the photo corners are from Jasmine. For the 8x8 album I placed the photo horizontally. I also used pop up dots behing the photo corners.








The tag for the 8x8 album is a little bit big for the for the 6x12 mat. You could squash the tag to fit vertically and then cut a rectangle for the bottom of the tag and piece it together.

November

The november CD Calendar is here.

I used the corner punch for the trim on the bottom of the page. Instead of punching the corners only I punched straight across the paper, lining up the side of my punch with what was just punched. The leaves are punched from scrap paper and either embossed with embossing powder or Ultra fine glitter. Instead of using black for the base I used brown as it went better with the color scheme. Using the Jasmine cartridge I welded November onto a rectangle and cut out in brown then the individual letters in green.
