All Framed In . . .

Jules' November Challenge at Scrapbook Heaven is to put a "frame" around your photo. I tried several different kinds but liked her example so much I scrap lifted it.

I pulled some cardstock out of my scrap pile add some accents to this page. I know I've been using the Arch Lattice punch a lot but it was out and on my desk.

Here is a close up. The white and blue flowers are actually rub ons that came with the kit and are up on buttons to give then a different height.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cherish Forever . . .

Michelle's November Challenge at Scrapbook Heaven is to get your "Grunge On". This is not a style I normally do so it was definitely a challenge for me, and it kind of looks more like a controlled distressing.

I distressed, using scissors, all the edges of the paper except for the photo mat and lattice. I was going to do the lattice but I had it all glued together when I realized I had not done it. The red cardstock is also embossed and then torn.

The chipboard letters were embossed with clear embossing powder using an embossing pen. I stamped in black "forever" and used clear embossing powder, attached rhinestones and used the ticket corner punch on them.

The leaves were hand cut from a 12x12 paper. The prima flowers were painted, inked and sprayed then layered and the silk flowers were taken apart and inked and misted them put back together.

Thanks for stopping by.

Pumpkins

One of Scrapbook Heaven's October Monthly Challenge's is by Jules - Die cut paper.
I made my own die cut paper for this one using the Accent Essentials Cartridge. The top of the layout is on foam tape so that it is raised up from the background paper and photo mat. I then made a frame around the opening.

The flowers are from the 50 States cartridge, inked, rolled edges, and scrunched up. I used a large brad, clear embossed the head, and used a reddish brown embossing powder. The embossing powder is from a 12 pack from Michael's with no color names.

For each pumpkin I cut a green one and an orange one. I cut the top of the orange pumpkin, inked the edges and glued to the green pumpkin and inked again. I have glued one to the back page and two on the top page using foam tamp.

I am using parts of the wreath I took a part in this post, to weave through the flowers and pumpkins. I used my hot glue to hold this down.

Thanks for stopping by.
