Boo - Day 3

Welcome to Day 2 of the 12 Days of Halloween. I came across Two Paper Divas blog where they had a tutorial for the Twisted Easel card. Here is my version of the card.

The spider is from the Indi Art cartridge with a pop up dot between the black layers.


I added a spider border from the Doodlecharms cartridge.

12 Day's of Valentine's Lollipop Heart Card

I used Doodlecharms to make the heart shaped card then tied my heart shaped lollipop to the front with some yarn. This one makes up really quick.



I cut the pattern paper from American Crafts Metropolitan and glued it to the scalloped heart shape then punched the holes to tie the lollipop onto the card. My sentiment is written on the back of the card for the guys.

Fabulous Fall

Here's another layout I did for the Girls' Christmas Box - Please not that is the 12x12. I used the Pages in Time Thrusday Sketch.

I cut "fabulous" out twice - once in brown and then in red. The red layer is pop dotted. The title "Fabulous FALL" looks better in person.
I used the Arch Lattice Punch to make the Medallion on my hidden journaling tag. The photo mat is cut at 4.25x6.25 and pop dotted on the edges to hide the journaling tag.

I inked everything on the border and pop dotted the leaves and berries. The acorns are glued to the border.

Non traditional Christmas colors can make some cute Christmas cards. Keep that in mind when you are pulling out your papers to make Christmas cards.

The Doodlecharms cartridge has a border feature on it. It makes it easy to do the inside of the cards, but you can also use it for anything else scrapbook borders, photo mat borders.

Happy Birthday Cupcake

The theme for this month's card swap is Birthdays. Looking through my Cricut Cartridges I decided to make a shape card using the Cupcake on Doodlecharms. I welded the shape to a square and cut the candle off by hand.

The card front and inside are done the same except for the stamped saying.

School Days Layout

Every Thursday a new sketch challenge is posted at Thursdays Sketch @ Pages in Time. I decided to do a layout with a school theme.

I glimmer misted the star and inked all the edges. I used Design Studio to make the Apple Mat and the Number Border on the layout along with the rest of the cuts. The red cardstock is not that bright in person. The photo corners are all popped up so that pictures can slide underneath.

I cut my circle out of tan cardstock, stamped the image, and used the outline circle from George for the circle border. This is then tied to the tag.

The back of the tag has a journal stamp stamped on white cardstock along with a couple of apples and a photo corner.

Extreme Skateboarder Card

The Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge was to use the Sun from the Doodlecharms Cartridge. I keep seeing shaped cards and thought I would give it a try. I made this one using Design Studio.

I cut out an extra sun with the oval inside and used a mask then I stamped my image on the oval white card stock.

Recipe: Paper: Neon Green, White, Pink Card stock, background paper - was from one of the Cricut 6x12 paper packs

Glitter Bunnies

and Easter Wishes is the card I made for the card swap. I used Doodlecharms for the bunnies and George for the rectangles. I put my ribbon on the inside of the card this time, with a yellow mat stamped with Easter Wishes. I used one of the Peechy Keen stamps to stamp the bunny face.

Dragonflies

After making the butterflies I had to try dragonflies. I used the Cricut cartridge DoodleCharms for the dragonflies. I cut the dragonfly that is on the front of the card at 3 inches and the smaller ones at 1 inch, make sure you use the blackout function.

For my embossing folders I used Tiny Bubbles, Snowflakes, D'Vine Swirl, and Floral Screen working from the largest layer to the smallest layer. For the the dragonfly I again used the Stylized Flowers.









I do not have a dragonfly punch so I glued the dragonfly on the top inside front and bottom right hand side second page.


Now this doesn't look bad, but I wasn't quite happy with how it turned out so I opened up Design Studio and made a card insert. For this I used the George cartridge for the rectangle and the dragonfly from Doodlecharm.


I did emboss the dragonflies for the inside of the cards with Snow Dots to give them a little extra pop.

I cut three extra dragonfly to decorate the front of the envelopes.

August CD Calendar

The Popsicles are cut from the DoodleCharms Cricut Cartridge at 2", 1 1/2". and 1". I cut the tag from Fabulous Finds at 1" and stamped August in purple ink. The bright colored yarn is some left over from when the guys were little and making the beaded pony bead animals. I thought it went well with this background paper.

July CD Calendar

For the July CD calendar I used the Cricut to cut the two watermelons from the Doodlecharms cartridge. The smaller watermelon has a pop up dot behind it. I added ribbon across the top and one side of the page and the top of the calendar. I cut out the tag from the Fabulous Finds Cartridge and stamped July. I used a punch to take bites out of the watermelon on the bottom of the calendar.

May Autumn's vibrant . . .

colors lend warmth to chilly days is the quote on my November calendar. You can download the word art here. I used Lucida Calligraphy, Italic 24 pt to type this and it is 3x3, but I printed on a 4x6 so I had room for cropping. I used my corner punch straight across the brown paper to create the edging on the saying.

The background paper is from the Rockstar Pack, the rest of the papers are from my scrap pile. I used my Cricut cartridge A Walk in My Garden for the flowers and Doodlecharms for the two types of leaves.

The flowers and leaves were chalked and detailed added with gel pens. Here is a couple close ups of them. I thinly cut green paper to add a little bit of dimension. The stems were free handed.

The small orange flowers in the corner are punched on orange card stock, pressed into a gold ink pad, and embossed with clear embossing powder.

On the Cricut boards there is a Treat Box/Bag/Basket Swap going on. I made an apple for cider and will be adding it to my "Boo" Baskets. It will hold 3 Apple Cider packets.
